Tropical leaves painted office mural!
My awesome sister-in-law is a tropical, beachy, totally in love with the sunshine and everything that it entails (you may remember the wave mural I did for them in their bedroom while they were on a cruise a few years back HERE) WELLLLLL, she needed some love in her new office/party storage room and I was THRILLED to paint a happy, colorful tropical mural on her wall! 🙂
Just like most of my other murals, I had her take a pic and send it to me so that I could sketch some ideas “over top” of the pic and get some colors worked out! Of course we came up with a mix of some tropical leaves with lots of color and some added polka dots (because duh, dots are kinda my fave thing to finish off a mural and fill in extra space)! 🙂
- The colors I used for this project were (all Behr colors from the home depot):
Dark Navy - Fuzzy Peach
- Passion Fruit Punch
- Beauty Queen
- Night Music
- Tropics (the background wall color that Lanae had already painted)
I started by sketching the design in chalk and I made it a “paint by number” of sorts – using a different color chalk to coincide with the different colors of paint. I wanted to keep them all straight to make this a fast and easy paint job! 🙂 (and weeeee! It worked!)
Once everything was chalked out, I put in my earbuds and got to work!!!!!!! I think it turned out quite colorful and happy!!!!!!! 🙂
