This month is an homage to a costume that my Mom had made when I was in high school. I was trying out for the varsity hockey team my Freshman year and didn’t have my license to drive myself yet. Moroccan rug costume + my love for Disney’s Aladdin as a kid!
When I was little, I LOOOOOOVE LOVE LOVED the movie Aladdin (the songs, the colors, the locations, alllll the things)! And I remember so clearly playing Aladdin on the playground with my friends. Many of the girls would argue about who's turn it was to play Jasmine while I just smiled knowing that I nobody would fight me for the role of the carpet. A DIY Peony costume!
This costume seemed like a no-brainer to me as (A) it is spring and (B) I am currently in the middle of the 100 day project (which I have chosen 100 days of happy flowers).
